I have been using this thermos for a few months now after receiving one for my birthday in May. It retains heat really well, due to the vacuum insulation, I presume. Of course in the same vein it will keep drinks cold for many hours as well.
It's a good size for me. It holds up to 34 oz of liquid, which is definitely more than enough coffee for this girl!
The lid twists off and can be used as a cup. It is spill proof. It also looks nice, as stainless steel tends to.
I think it is a fantastic thermos. I have no complaints.
I use this guy every day on my way to work and at work. It rocks!
Rugged and well built. I work construction so I need something that can take a beating now and again. This thermos sure can!
It has thick stainless steel walls and a vacuum sealed insulating layer. I like that is has a handle, just for convenience sake.
If I were to buy a thermos right now, it would be this one right here. Exactly what I would want in a thermos. Vacuum insulated layer means hours and hours of hot (or cold) beverages. It's medium sized, and I like the shape because it will fit in a cup holder.
I really like the fact that it is completely sealed until you sip it. What a cool idea. Keeps in more heat and won't spill accidentally.
I'm not sure if this is too small for you. I generally don't travel with the larger thermos's. When I leave home I've often already had 2-3 cups of coffee so anything more than my travel thermos is a bit too much. My coffee stays hot easily for at least and hour and if I put something cold in here with or without ice it stays cold for longer than an hour. It works well in my drink holders for both of my cars, it's light and easily transportable, doesn't leak and looks pretty cool.
Both of the Thermos ideas I see up there look look good to me, although I'd be curious if the Travel mug woud fit in a cup holder?
Stainless steel is good, and the vacuum insulated layer definitely helps to retain heat.
Hey Tami, saw this discussion and though I would help answer your question. I own this Thermos, and it does not fit in most cup holders - just a little too big, unfortunately. It's kind of annoying, but the thermos performs so well in all other categories that I have learned to live with it! Not a deal breaker, that's for sure.
